Image DetailKidapawan City is a 1st class city in the province of Cotabato, Philippines per Department of Finance Order No. 20-2005. It is the capital city of Cotabato Province. It is a favorite tourist destination in the late October to December and in the summer, where thousands of tourist climb the majestic Mt. Apo, the country's highest peak.

Kidapawan, the city hailed as “The Spring in the Highlands”, comes from the words “TIDA” which means spring and “PAWAN” meaning highland. The city is found at the bottom of the majestic Mt. Apo, the country’s tallest mountain making it a great spot and first-rate tourist attraction. Kidapawan is situated at the southeastern section of Cotabato province, placed in the middle of three other major cities of Davao, Cotabato, General Santos, Koronadal, and Cagayan de Oro.

How to get to Kidapawan City
All buses bound to Cotabato City will stop over at Kidapawan City Land Transport Terminal. There are also vans that are bound to Kidapawan City.

If you are coming from Davao City, you can take Weena Bus at Ecoland Terminal. If you want to take the Van, terminus are in the parking area of SM City and Gaisano Mall. The estimated travel time from Davao City to Kidapawan City is 2 hours. If you are coming from General Santos City, you have to drop at Digos City Terminal and take the Weena Bus bound to Cotabato City as they will stop over at Kidapawan.

Transportation within the City
Local means of transportation is served by almost 2,000 motor tricycles known locally as just "motor". Transportations to its barangays and adjacent municipalities are served by Multicabs, Jeepneys, and L300 Vans.

Lake Agco

It's a steaming blue lake where hot and cold springs converge at an elevation of 4,200 feet above sea level (you could boil eggs on the lake). Lake Agco is in Brgy. Ilomavis which is around 2 hours from Kidapawan City proper.

Mahomanoy Mountain Resort
The resort started in 2003 with just one pool. With the growing local and foreign visitors each year, more pools were developed by the local IP community using the heat from nearby hotsprings and Agco lake. The resort is located at Agco, Ilomavis, Kidapawan City.








Mawig Falls
This crystal-clear 65 feet long waterfalls is located in Brangay Balabag, Kidapawan City. It is one of the pristine park destination within Kidapawan are. It is thew major source of Matingao River.
